The new year is here, 2022! Wow, now what a year we’ve had. We’ve been on one rollercoaster of a journey but despite everything you’ve been put through. Your here! You made it!
All the good times you’ve had this past year, and all of the bad have made you into the person you are today. Your stronger because of it. In this blog post we want to talk to you about 5 habits that you should install into your lifestyle in 2022 to constantly upgrade your life!
1. Exercise- Yep, we know… it’s cliche. All of those gym membership deals you keep getting in your email inbox and those texts from your friends saying, ‘fancy going on a run?’. Well, despite how annoying they may seem, and we get it, there’s only so many excuses you can come up with. But have you thought about saying yes? Taking the opportunity and trying it out. Trying something new has so many mental health benefits (as well as the physical benefits of exercise of course!). From just trying something new your brain is stimulated which enhances your creativity and contributes to improving your overall wellbeing. What’s not to like?
Now, then there’s the physical benefits of exercise… we’ve all been told that exercise makes you feel better. But seriously, we are here to tell you… it does! You never regret a workout; it releases endorphins in your body that boosts your mood and gives you energy. Also, there are so many ways in which you can get exercise! Maybe it’s a run, hike, country walk, weightlifting or a Joe Wicks HIIT workout! Whatever it is, find what you like and stick with it. Maybe try picking up a sport, this can be a great way to meet new people and find a passion. Anyway, whatever it is… exercise. 2022, this is your year! Level up, improve your lifestyle! 2. Organise your life. Every year, we all say it. But 2022, this is going to be different. This is the kick up the rear you needed to get organised, de-clutter and live the life you’ve always wanted. Stop looking around and thinking how organised everyone else is and switch that focus to you. How organised are you? What can you do to improve? Maybe a big clear out, maybe it’s creating a day to day schedule so you know when and where you need to be! Whatever it is, take action. Today. No more waiting… You got this! Your on your journey of becoming organised.
3. Improve your sleep schedule. Yep, we mean it. Sleep is so important but it’s often overlooked. The recommended amount is 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Now, the amount of sleep you get is up to you. Maybe you feel fine on 7 hours, maybe it’s 9 hours? Everyone is different. But the important part of sleep is creating a sustainable schedule. What do we mean by this? We hear you ask. Well, a good sleep schedule means you go to bed and wake up at the same time everyday. This is crucial. Even on the weekends, yep… no more ‘Sunday lay ins’. Everyday we want you to go to bed, and wake up at the same time. 7 days a week!
Having a sleep schedule regulates your internal body clock which means you will be able to fall asleep and wake up more easily; therefore, benefiting your overall sleep. What’s not to like?
